Academic Staff Careers
Tutors should be a graduate with a degree obtained on-campus.
Our tutors are supported by the academic board and subject specialists. Tutors are expected to follow our teaching guideline as well as the subject syllabus (issued by MOE or our academic board). Typically, learning materials for students and reference books are provided to the tutors. You will be required to adjust the level of difficulty according to the class assigned. Tutors who have their own materials which they wish to replace or provided additionally to the students can do so after approval from the subject specialists or head tutor of the subject.
We are consistently trying to make our tuition programs more fun and engaging for the students. We want to use the easiest, most effective methods for students to understand. With that goal in mind, having dynamic tutors who have a love for children and passion for teaching is not sufficient. We need subject specialists to help us produce more interesting materials as well as to improve or update existing materials. You are expected to work closely with the academic board and head tutors on the requirements of the school and students.
You must have at least a good honours degree obtained on-campus and more than 15 years of experience. Candidates who do not meet the 15 years experience but have teaching qualifications can be considered as well. It is preferable if you were a specialist with MOE, SEAB or part of the academic board of a private school for at least 3 years preceding your application OR if you have Masters of Education from NIE or reputable universities.
